Christopher Samba Not A Happy Rover

Blackburn Rovers defender Christopher Samba made his return from injury in Sunday's defeat to Portsmouth, a defeat that meant Rovers lost their unbeaten Premiership record, something that didn't please Samba.

The Wall told the Official Blackburn Rovers Website: "They've come here, they were strong at the back and have players on the counter, but we knew this before the game it would be like this. But that is football, next game we'll be better.

"We expected better, the gaffer expects better from us, we tried to come back but not in the right way, we'll analyse what was wrong and work on it.

"Three points would have put us towards the top of the table, but now we have to keep our mind right to begin to go back to the top."

Despite some early chances, with Roque Santa Cruz most notably hitting the post Rovers didn't really threaten the Portsmouth goal that much, the man that seemed most dangerous was the Wall himself, who was not only disappointed to see the unbeaten start to the domestic season come to an end, but also with his own finishing

He added: "I need to improve this aspect of my game, I think I should already have three or four goals. It is something I am working on so hopefully next time it will be in the net. I will not accept to miss so many opportunities.
