The third place playoff at the 2011 Asian Cup is a battle between a cultured South Korea side who narrowly missed out against Japan and an Uzbekistan side who were taken to the cleaners by the Socceroos. Catch live streaming Uzbekistan v South Korea only with Ole Ole Football.
The White Wolves had scored in every game of the tournament until they were undone by the Aussies in the semi-finals. Striker Alexander Geynrikh and goalkeeper Ignatiy Nesterov missed the semi-final with minor injuries and will be back in the first eleven if Abramov decides to play a full strength side. Ulugbek Bakayev, who scored the winning goal against Jordan, is suspended after getting sent off in the semi-final.
South Korea finished third in the 2007 edition. And that’s the best they can hope for in this edition as well. Cho Kwang-Rae put out a full strength side against Japan but the Taegeuk Warriors ended up coming second best in a cagey, hard-fought encounter that they lost on penalties. Kwang-Rae could give some of his fringe players a chance to play from the start.
Will the White Wolves be able to salvage some pride after their semi-final debacle? Watch Uzbekistan vs South Korea live streaming with Ole Ole Football and find out.
