The second round of games in Group C sees holders Egypt take on Mozambique at the Complexo da Sr. da Graca in Benguela. The Pharaohs will be hoping to book their place in the last eight with a win over their less fancied opponents. Watch Egypt vs Mozambique live streaming on Ole Ole Football.
Hassan Shehata’s boys have made a blistering start to the tournament with a 3-1 win over a strong Nigeria side. Goals from forward Emad Moteab, their captain Ahmed Hassan and Mohamad Nagy Gedo were enough to give the young Egyptian side a well-earned win. A similar result against the Mambas on Saturday will see them top group C.
Egypt are expected to go in with the same eleven that started against Nigeria. They do not have any injuries or suspensions to worry about. Goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary, wing-back Sayed Moawad and forward Mohammad Zidan put in outstanding performances without really making the headlines. Zidan and Moteab will be looking to take advantage of Mozambique’s sloppy defence.
The Black Mambas played out an entertaining 2-2 draw against Benin. The game was marred with plenty of goalkeeping and individual errors. A similar showing against Egypt will surely result in defeat.
Kapango recklessly brought down Omotoyossi to concede a penalty which led to Benin’s first goal and uncertain defending by Dario Khan led to Benin’s second. Mozambique came back into the game again due to two glaring errors by the Benin goalkeeper. Manuel Tico-Tico, Almiro Lobo and Fumo looked very lively for the Mambas and will pose a danger to Egypt. Tico-Tico, Mexer and Kapango are on a single yellow. Another card would see them missing the final game against Nigeria.
