After last weekend's results, Bayern have joined Wolfsburg at the top of the Bundesliga table with sixty points, but sit second virtue of an inferior goal difference. Bayern face Bayer Leverkusen at home while Wolfsburg are also at home to Borussia Dortmund.

Bayern have had a couple of good results since Jurgen Klinsmann was relieved of duties and this culminated in last weekend's 3-1 away win at Energie Cottbus. The way things stand at the moment, Wolfsburg and Bayern lead the way with sixty points, Hertha Berlin are third with 59 and Stuttgart fourth with 58 points. Fifth and sixth are occupied by Dortmund and Hamburg who both have 55 points.

For their part, Hoffenheim come into the match on the back of a 2-0 home win over Cologne. This was actually their first league win in thirteen attempts and despite this dreadful run, the team are safe from relegation in a comfortable eighth position with 48 points.
