Hartlepool host Premier League Burnley at Victoria Park on Tuesday night in the second round of the Carling Cup. Hartlepool pulled off a 1-0 victory at Coventry in the first round, striker Adam Boyd scoring the winner in extra-time. Pool have had a really poor start to their League One campaign, but will be looking for their look and performances to improve against the Premier League newcomers.

Burnley are without club captain and influential defender Stephen Caldwell, he’s likely to be replaced by new signing Andre Bikey. The North West side will be looking for strikers Robbie Blake and Steven Fletcher to find their form and fire them in to round three.
