The Champions League Group E final game is between Bayern Munich and Baseland takes place in the Allianz-Arena on Wednesday 8 December. Bayern have done all the hard work already and they just have to turn up to make it to the last sixteen but Basel will be going all out for the win. The Germans are cruising at the top of the group and with qualification done and dusted they may choose to rest their top striker in this competition Gomez. The prolific striker has become a favourite for the golden boot and is just one goal behind the competition's top scorer Samuel Eto'o. Bastion Schweinsteiger should be included though and they will look to him to control proceedings in the midfield. Luis Van Gaal has done well to get Bayern back in shape especially after such a slow start in the Bundesliga this year and whatever team he fields on Wednesday will be a tough challenge for Basel.

Basel have to go for the win if they are to progress to the knock out stages and have their share of the TV rights pot.
