Rodrigo Tello’s 20^th minute goal gave Besiktas a 1-0 lead over a youthful Manchester United side on Match Day 5. It was Besiktas’ first win in Group B and kept the club’s slim hopes of staying in Europe by clinching the Europa League spot alive.

Besiktas’ last domestic game was a goalless draw against Diyarbakirspor. Prior to that, they had beaten Sivasspor 1-0, with Bobo netting the winner in the 29^th minute. Besiktas will welcome Czech midfielder Tomas Sivok back from suspension- the former Udinese and Sparta Prague medio missed the club’s trip to Old Trafford a fortnight ago.

CSKA beat Wolfsburg 2-1 to stay in the hunt for a spot in the knockout stages. They fell behind to an Edin Dzeko strike in the 19^th minute, but equalised in the 58^th minute when Tomas Necid headed in Eugeni Aldonin’s cross. Leonid Slutsky’s men continued their efforts and were rewarded when Serbian playmaker Milos Krasic smashed in a wonder goal from 30 yards out in the 66^th minute.

CSKA need to get a better result than Wolfsburg to qualify for the last sixteen. Should CSKA and Wolfsburg both win, CSKA will have to do with a Europa League spot. A draw for CSKA will also do if United beat Wolfsburg. CSKA beat Saturn in their last Russian Premier League game of the season. They won 3-0 thanks to goals from Alan Dzagoev, Krasic and Pavel Mamaev.
