Les Girondins picked up a priceless away win in the first leg thanks to Michael Ciani’s first half header. The defender nodded in Yoann Gourcuff’s free kick after Benoit Trémoulinas was adjudged to have been fouled by Olympiakos forward Lomana Lualua.
