The Blues beat FC Porto 1-0 on Match Day 5 in Portugal to confirm top spot in Group D. It was Chelsea’s third 1-0 win in the competition, and once again, it was Nicolas Anelka who struck the winner. APOEL were held to a 1-1 draw by Apollon in their weekend Cypriot first Division game. Konstantinos Charalambidis levelled for APOEL nine minutes from time after Mustapha Bangoura had given Apollon a first half lead.
