CSKA lost the first leg 1-0 at the San Siro. Diego Milito’s 65^th minute effort proved to be the difference between the two sides at the final whistle. Defensive midfielder Evgeny Aldonin picked up his third yellow of the competition in the first leg and is suspended for Inter’s trip to Moscow. Inter had no problems in beating Bologna in their weekend Serie A game. Brazilian Thiago Motta’s effort from outside the area broke the deadlock in the 29^th minute, and Inter went 2-0 after the break when Balotelli collected Milito’s pass at the far post and slotted home. With five minutes left on the clock, Motta made it 3-0 after exchanging passes with Dejan Stankovic.
