Lyon beat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield on Match Day 3, with substitutes Maxime Gonalons and Cesar Delgado scoring in the second half to stun the partisan crowd at Anfield. Claude Puel’s men have a perfect record in Group E- they have won all three of their group fixtures so far.

Lyon beat old rivals St.Etienne in Le Championnat on Saturday. Striker Fernando Torres, who scored a wonder goal against Fulham, is fighting to be fit in time for the Lyon game. Defender Glen Johnson and skipper Steven Gerrard are also on the injury list, but the match against Lyon may come too early for the pair.
