Panathinaikos v Villarreal Live

The Greek side have been the surprise package of this year’s Champions league, finishing top of group B, ahead of Italian champions Inter Milan and German side Werder Bremen. So this competition has become even more important for the Dutchman’s side.

Panathinaikos will probably play their preferred 4-3-2-1 formation. The key man for the Greek side could be Greece playmaker Giorgis Karagounis. Most of their best play comes through midfielder. Ten Cate will have a choice of Croatian Ante Rukavina and Dimitrios Salpingindis up front.

Villarreal are again fighting for a Champions League spot in La Liga, they are currently fourth in the league. The Yellow Submarine will know that they have to score, with the Greek side already holding an away goal from the first leg in Spain. Villarreal have enough quality to go to Greece and win, but the Greek side hold the upper hand with that away goal. 

Villarreal will hope to have striker Nihat Kahveci fit, as the striker has been absent for large periods of the season. If Nihat doesn’t feature then Joseba Llorente will play, the striker has been in good form this season. Another key player will be Italian striker Giuseppe Rossi, who is top goal scorer for the side.
