Harry Redknapp’s Tottenham Hotspur have a good lead with an away goal picked up in Milan and the momentum definitely lies with the London club. Gareth Bale who was excellent against Inter is a doubt and although he didn’t feature in Milan the fans and Redknapp had hoped for a return. Jermaine Defoe has picked up an ankle injury in Dubai while training so Peter Crouch and Roman Pavlyuchenko will lead the line. Rafael van De Vaart is also injured and not expected to play which will give the visitors plenty of encouragement.

AC Milan have a tough fixture with Juventus on the weekend before Tottenham and Massimiliano Allegri will be praying for his team to come through unscathed. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alexandre Pato have been finding the net consistently and that will trouble the Spurs defence who are still without Ledley King. Surprisingly the Milan side will go to Tottenham as underdogs despite their history and team but the players may have something to say about that.
