The 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup will continue on Tuesday, July 7^th as El Salvador will take on Canada in a game between two teams headed in the right direction for the tournament. Canada came out strong against Jamaica and El Salvador stunned a powerful team from Costa Rica this past weekend. A win from either team will put them on top of their group and on a path towards the next round of the tournament.

Canada was not dominant in their opening game but were able to come away with a victory against Jamaica thanks to a great game from goaltender Greg Sutton. While they were unable to get much past the Jamaican goaltender, they came up big when it mattered most. Ali Gerba strode past the defense and scored a riveting goal in the 75^th minute in order to allow Canada to walk away with the victory. It was a huge win for Canada as they look to prove themselves in the tournament.

El Salvador proved that they are on a mission for this 2009 Gold Cup and were clearly the better team in their game against Costa Rica. La Selecta came out flying and managed to get by Costa Rica thanks to 2 goals from Osael Romero. One of them was a spectacular goal and the team is playing with an extra bit of excitement in this year's tournament.
