Haiti and Honduras will square off in an opening round game for the 2009 Gold Cup on Saturday July 4^th. Haiti is returning to the tournament for a second straight year, but this year they only qualified as a last minute replacement. They only managed to finish third in the Caribbean Championship but were selected as a replacement for Team Cuba in a draw. The draw was conducted by the CFU and was between Haiti and Trinidad and Tobago.
