Italy and Belarus will face off this Tuesday one hoping to get that all-important place in the Semi-Finals, one knowing that unless a miracle happens its all over, as the Euro 2009 Under-21 Championship continues. Italy is trying to earn their spot in the Semis and this tournament will give them the opportunity, played in the Olympia Stadium in Helsingborg. Belarus were able to hold off Serbia on Friday, with the game ending in a goalless draw, but they play with heavy hearts knowing that unless they receive supernatural help, their not going anywhere. Dmitri Verkhovtsov was the man that saved the goals on Friday, and his assistance was terrible for Serbia who desperately needed the win against Belarus to keep their hope alive.

Tuesday saw Sergei Krivets miss out on a couple of chances to score against Serbia, but he missed on both opportunities. Still Yuri Kurnenin, Belarus coach, should be proud, as Belarus has an extremely poor record this season and they were able to hold off Serbia, a team that has been performing better. 

On Italy's side, they had their first win of the tournament against Sweden, with the final being 2-1, and that was after Mario Balotelli getting a red card, leaving them with just 10 players, which certainly hurt their chances of scoring further, as the striker had made one of those two goals in the 23^rd minute of the game. After the first half ended, Italy grabbed another goal and made it 2-0 when Robert Acquafresca grabbed a point in the 53^rd minute of the game. Sweden was finally able to make their goal in the 89^th minute of the game, with a score by Ola Toivonen, but by then it was all but over.

Italy coach Pierluigi Casiraghi may have to move the line-up around because of Balotelli being sent off, but they stepped up and played fine without home against Sweden and will likely use that same strength against Belarus.
