Having suffered an impromptu defeat to Hapoel Tel Aviv in their first game, and then only drawing 1-1 at Parkhead with Rapid Vienna in the second, Celtic’s one point so far in the competition sees them occupying last place. For their part, Hamburg beat Hapoel Tel Aviv last time out by 4-2 (in Hamburg) but lost their first game of the tournament by 3-0 away to Rapid Vienna. On the domestic front they had a top of the table clash at home to Bayer Leverkusen this past weekend, the game ending in a tame 0-0 draw.
