Juventus ran out 2-0 winners in Ireland thanks to a brace from Brazilian striker Amauri. The forward was set up by compatriot Diego for the game’s opener, and netted the second when he headed in Simone Pepe’s cross past Alan Mannus in the Shamrock goal.

Shamrock were guilty of starting poorly and only got their bearings together in the second half. Defender Dan Murray had two great opportunities to get a goal back for Shamrock but unfortunately for the Irishmen, neither of them failed to materialise.
