Motherwell lost their first game in the first leg by a score of 1-0 in Vlore so they are desperate for a win in their next game as they take on Flamurtari from the Albanian Superliga. This is their second leg of their second round qualifying in the Europa League and they will need to come out with everything they have on Thursday July 23^rd.

The loss in the first leg was devastating for Motherwell as they were sure that they scored when John Sutton stroked the back of the net. But the excitement did not last long as the referee took the goal back because a Flamurtari player had gotten too close to the 18 yard box. His second shot was stopped that was about as close as they got to scoring again for the rest of the game.

In the first round Motherwell also lost their first game but managed to score three times in their second game against Llanelli and move on thanks to a 4-2 aggregate score. They should be able to dominate the play in the second leg of this round now that they are playing at home.

On the other hand Flamurtari is competing in the tournament for the first time since 1996. They were pleasantly surprised with their victory in the first game thanks to a beautiful goal from Emir Strati. They almost scored twice later in the game but Motherwell keeper Michael Fraser made a brilliant save.

Motherwell will definitely be coming out with their best as they look to move onto the third qualifying round, but it will have to come at the expense of Flamurtari.
