Both goals in the game against Udinese were conceded in the last nine minutes of the game.

Genoa have only travelled to Spain once before in European competition and they lost that game 1-0 to Real Oviedo. For their part, Valencia have faced Italian opposition ten times at the Mestalla and have won four, drawn two and lost four of these games.

Genoa are unbeaten away in European competition since that defeat to Real Oviedo back in 1991, while Valencia are unbeaten over the ninety minutes in their last thirteen European games.
