Valencia are having a fine season so far in La Liga, and prior to the weekend's results were sitting fourth in the league table with 24 points, just four behind leaders Real Madrid. They have only lost one league game while drawing three and winning seven of their encounters. Lille are currently sitting in fourteenth position in Ligue One with sixteen points and have four wins, four draws and five defeats so far this season in the league.
