Aston Villa v Doncaster Live

Aston Villa take on Coca Cola Championship side Doncaster Rovers in a replay of the original fourth round F A cup tie which is live here at oleolefootball.watchlive.net at 19:45 GMT on Wednesday 4^th February with live football online.

Doncaster impressed in the original tie at the Keepmoat Stadium as they held Premiership high-flyers Aston Villa. Villa found it hard to keep up with Rovers as the struggling Championship side threatened early on, with Martin Woods smashing the woodwork. Martin O’Neill’s men then picked themselves up as Gabriel Agbonlahor, James Milner and Steve Sidwell all had excellent chances to open the scoring. Woods then almost pulled off a shock victory late in the game as his free-kick beat Villa keeper Brad Friedel, only to hit the woodwork for the second time in the game.

Doncaster will be happy with the result and for the chance to travel to Villa Park, but the Premier League side had numerous chances to finish the game off and would be happier without the extra fixture.

Villa missed the chance to break the top three as they drew 0-0 at home to Wigan, continuing their unbeaten run to 14 games with their last loss at home to Middlesbrough. The club are still without Marlon Harewood and Martin Laursen who are both out with long-term injuries, whilst Nigel Reo-Coker is unlikely to feature in the cup with a hamstring injury.

Doncaster moved out of the relegation zone in the Championship with a 1-1 draw against fellow strugglers Norwich City with Paul Heffernan scoring the only goal for Rovers. The replay is Doncaster’s second this year after it took three attempts (one postponed game) to make it past Cheltenham in the third round.
