Chelsea comes into the third round match with only one win in the league in the last nine games. They are pretty worried right now and confidence is low, and they started with pretty much being unbeatable at the beginning of the season. Normally, this would be an easy game for Chelsea to win, but they haven't won a single tie since beating Bolton 1-0, instead taking a 3-3 draw against Villa and a 1-0 loss to the Wolves. Before beating Bolton, they had six games in a row that they lost, so right now their chances are slim for the championship.

As for Ipswich town, their record for the last five games away is not as good as Chelsea last five games home record of two wins, two losses and one draw. Ipswich has one win one draw and three losses, so that does offer some hope for Chelsea. Roy Keane's team right now is all the way down in the 19th placed spot in the championship and is struggling as much as Chelsea lately to get some ties under them. Ipswich Town will look to increase the pressure on Luiz Felipe Scolari’s Chelsea as they travel to Stamford Bridge in hope of an upset at 15:00 GMT Saturday 24th January, and you can watch the fa cup live here at oleolefootball.watchlive.net.

Pressure has been mounting slowly on Scolari, and their disastrous 3-0 defeat against Manchester United two weeks ago did nothing to help the Brazilian manager. Scolari has admitted the defeat “dented the club’s title hopes” and although he admits the title race is still far from over, Chelsea will surely look to the F.A Cup for some much needed silverware this season.

Chelsea are likely to field a strong side after their weakened side almost lost out to League 1 side Southend in the previous round. However the Premier League runners-up will be without England international Joe Cole, after the midfielder was ruled out for the remainder of the season with a serious knee injury. Much of the focus will also be on whether Didier Drogba plays, after the Ivorian was left out of the last two games, fuelling speculation of an exit from the club.

Ipswich Town may not have won the F.A Cup since 1978, but the Championship side have nothing to lose as they travel to Stamford Bridge for the first time since relegation from the Premiership in 2002. Ipswich will be in high spirits for the tie after a rampant 4-1 away win at Crystal Palace on the weekend, and the Suffolk side obviously have high hopes of pulling off a massive shock as the club’s 6000 tickets available were immediately snapped up within hours.
