The fourth round of the FA Cup has thrown up an intriguing all-Premier League encounter as Stoke City entertain high flying Arsenal at the Britannia Stadium this coming Sunday afternoon. In the third round of the competition, Stoke City entertained York City at the Britannia Stadium and defeated their lower league rivals by three goals to one, and this despite falling behind to a 22^nd minute goal from the visitors.

As well as doing well in the cup, Stoke are also mid-table in the Premier League and have so far managed to stay out of trouble this season. Tony Pullis’ team entertained Liverpool last weekend and were rather fortuitous to get a 1-1 draw out of their visitors thanks to a last minute equaliser.

Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal side are currently flying high in the Premier League. So high, in fact, that if they win their game in hand which is being played on Wednesday evening at the Emirates Stadium against Bolton Wanderers by more than two clear goals, they go top of the league for the first time this season. A rather remarkable achievement considering they were thirteen points off the pace not long before the Christmas break.

In the last round of the FA Cup, Arsenal travelled to London neighbours West Ham and managed to beat them by 2-1. Despite falling 1-0 behind on the stroke of half time, goals from Ramsey and Eduardo in the 78^th and 83^rd minutes respectively sealed the deal for the gunners.
