Fulham come into the game on the back of a 0-0 draw against fellow mid-table side Wigan, as the London club have pulled themselves away from the relegation dog fight temporarily. Fulham progressed to the fifth round after a pulsating 4-2 win against non-league Kettering, needing two late goals to seal the win. Kettering’s Craig Westcarr had seemingly sealed a replay for the non-league side before Andy Johnson and Bobby Zomara struck late on in the 88^th and 89^th minute respectively to end Kettering’s FA Cup dream.
