The fixture is just the 8^th ever football tie to take place at the 80,000+ capacity Croke Park as Ireland’s usual home of Landsdowne Road is currently under-development until 2010.

Georgia are in desperate need of a win and could move up to 3^rd should they shock Ireland on Wednesday, although Bulgaria and Montenegro will both have 2 games in hand on the Georgians.
