Benfica came from a goal down to beat Monaco 3-2 at the Estadio da Luz in Lisbon on Saturday. The Eagles took the lead through Airton, but trailed 2-1 at the break as Monaco netted through Yannick Sagbo and Cedric Mongongu.

Five minutes after the interval, Argentine midfielder Pablo Aimar restored parity for the Eagles. The winning goal for Benfica came shortly after the hour mark through Paraguayan forward Oscar Cardozo.

Fraizer Campbell had a dream day as he netted all four goals in Sunderland’s 4-2 win over Hull City on Saturday. The game, also played in Portugal, saw right back Marcos Angeleri make his debut for the Black Cats. French midfielder Steed Malbranque set up Campbell’s first two goals.
