New Australian coach Holger Osieck has promised more attacking football to the nation’s fans. The Socceroos did not exactly play free flowing football under Osieck’s predecessor Pim Verbeek, but the German intends to change things ahead of the 2011 Asian Cup.

Egypt were stunned 1-0 by minnows Niger in an African Cup of Nations qualifying game last month. The shocking loss saw the Pharaohs move out of the top ten in the FIFA world rankings- they are now 11^th in the standings.
