Germany take on Norway in an international friendly match at the LTU arena which is live here at oleolefootball.watchlive.net at 19:30 GMT on Wednesday 11th January with live football streams direct to your computer with membership to oleolefootball.watchlive.net.
Germany coach Joachim Low is set to hand debuts to Mesut Ozil and Andreas Beck for the upcoming tie against Norway. Ozil had been torn whether to play for his birth country of Germany or his ancestor’s country of Turkey, but made the decision to represent Germany in telephone conversation with Low. Russian born Beck has impressed this season with surprise league leaders TSG Hoffenheim as the 21-year-old defender makes the step-up from the German under-21’s where he mad 22 appearances.
Low has made the surprise move to name just two goalkeepers in his 21-man squad for Wednesday, leaving out Hannover’s Robert Enke who has returned from a 4 month injury. Michael Ballack and Torsten Frings return to the side despite Ballack publicly criticising Low last year to German press. Lukas Podolksi is the key exclusion from the squad after failing to hold down a regular place at Bayern Munich.
Caretaker manager Egil Olsen is set to take charge for the first time as Norway manager for the side’s upcoming tie against Germany. Norway are bottom of Group 9 with just 2 points from 3 games and failed to win a game last year under previous coach Aage Hereide.
