In the recent World Football Challenge Inter Milan managed to finish third, which was a disappointing finish. They lost to Club America in their first game and then fell to Chelsea in their second. They managed to squeak by Milan in the final game by a score of 2-0. The lone bright spot for the tournament for Inter was the play of newly acquired Diego Milito. He finished the World Football Challenge with two goals. The team hopes that he can replace the loss of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, along with the acquisition of Samuel Eto’o.

Monaco had a very disappointing year last year and only managed to finished 11^th in the Ligue 1 last year and finishing as the Champions League runners up in 2004. They did not make any major moves in the off season but are hoping that young and talented players such as Yohan Mallo and Nikola Pokrivac can blossom this year.

The team has been involved in five friendlies on the year so far and have only managed one victory. They managed draws against St. Etienne and UNFP and then lost to FC Porto in the first three games. Their only win came by way of a victory against GSI Pontivy.

Monaco will be looking for a little revenge against Inter manager Jose Mourinho but it will be a lot easier said than done. Mourinho seems to have his team well prepared and the new additions to Inter Milan should make them a powerhouse this year.
