Craig Levein’s first match in charge of Scotland sees them in action against the Czech Republic at Hampden Park this Wednesday. Catch all the action from Scotland vs Czech Republic and other international friendlies live by signing up with Ole Ole Football today.
This game will be Levein’s first test since he took over the reins from George Burley. He has given maiden call ups to Paul Dixon and Gary Kenneth, both of Dundee United. Rangers’ Lee McCulloch was originally in the squad, but has pulled out after sustaining an injury against Old Firm rivals Celtic. There are also doubts over the fitness of Lee Wallace, James McFadden and Andy Webster.
The Czech Republic were expected to comfortably qualify for the World Cup but had a horror campaign and finished third in their group. They will be without star keeper Petr Cech, who injured himself in Chelsea’s loss to Inter Milan in the Champions League. West Brom forward Roman Bednar had forced his way back into the squad but will not feature due to a groin injury. A lot will depend on Arsenal’s Tomas Rosicky and CSKA forward Tomas Necid.
Will Levein be able to win his first game as Scotland manager? See Scotland vs Czech Republic live to find out.
