Katlego Mphela, scorer of the winner against Colombia, netted twice for Bafana Bafana against Guatemala. Mphela scored the first and fourth goals of the game, with the others coming from the boots of Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Surprise Moriri and Bernard Parker. Skipper Aaron Mokoena also earned his 100^th cap for the country in that fixture.

The Danes were surprised 1-0 by Australia in their last friendly. The loss came days after Denmark had beaten Senegal 2-0. The solitary goal of the game was scored by Australia’s Joshua Kennedy. The Danes’ best chance of the game fell to Christian Poulsen, but Aussie keeper Mark Schwarzer was equal to the task. Danish coach Morten Olsen blamed the Jabulani ball after the game, saying that his side had problems in controlling it.
