The Spanish were taken the distance by South Korea in their last friendly. The Asian side refused to bow down in front of the array of attacking talent available at Spain’s disposal and managed to hold their own till 85 minutes. Sevilla’s Jesus Navas then struck a goal worthy of being a match winner, firing a thunderous effort into the top corner from outside the area. Liverpool striker Fernando Torres could be given a few minutes on the pitch against the Poles.
Poland have drawn their last two international friendlies, both with 0-0 scorelines. One was against Finland, while the other was against World Cup bound Serbia. The game against Serbia was played in rainy conditions in Austria, and the poor condition of the pitch didn’t exactly encourage attacking play from both sides.
