The United States produced a good second half performance to down Turkey 2-1 in their last friendly. Goals from Jozy Altidore and Clint Dempsey allowed Bob Bradley’s men to return to winning ways after consecutive losses to the Netherlands and Czech Republic. Former Man United starlet Jonathan Spector did not have a great game at right back and could lose the spot to experienced defender Steve Cherundolo.

Australia beat Denmark 1-0 in Johannesburg thanks to Joshua Kennedy’s 70^th minute strike. It was Australia’s third straight win, coming on the back of successful fixtures against Indonesia and arch rivals New Zealand. Socceroos coach Pim Verbeek is expected to give Harry Kewell some playing time against the United States after naming the injured Galatasaray star in his 23 member squad.
