The United States will play friendlies against Czech Republic and Turkey before coach Bob Bradley prunes his preliminary squad to 23 members. Charlie Davies and Freddy Adu were not named in the US’ preliminary squad, but the squad has plenty of talent in the form of Jozy Altidore, Landon Donovan, Maurice Edu and co.

Czech Republic surprisingly failed to qualify for the World Cup. The Czechs are in rebuilding mode for Euro 2012 but coach Michal Bilek will have to do without the services of some key players. Arsenal’s Tomas Rosicky and Galatasaray’s Milan Baros will play no part in this fixture, while Spartak defender Marek Suchy has been ruled out with an ankle injury. Striker Lukas Magera has been denied permission by his club to link up with the national side.
