Spain’s Primera Liga will see Valencia welcome Barcelona to the Estadio de Mestalla on Wednesday March 2nd 2011 for a La Liga fixture that sees first place play third. Both teams are playing very nice football but with Villarreal just two points behind Valencia the home side need to get something from this game. Barcelona too will need to get some confidence back after losing to Arsenal in the Champion’s League and beating a highly rated Spanish team is a good way to do so. You can watch the whole game with live streams from oleolefootball.watchlive.net.
The Estadio de Mestalla is a notoriously difficult place to visit and Barcelona will be reminded of that on Wednesday. The Valencia team are full of quality which has been shown by them not losing any of their last ten games. Juan Mata, Soldado and Aduriz are playing well but what the fans will be most happy about is seeing Joaquin back to his best and his two goals against Atletico Madrid in his last game will have them chanting his name all through Wednesdays clash with Barcelona.
With Madrid making things interesting by keeping the chase alive there is every reason to believe that the normally cool Josep Guardiola will feel the pressure against teams like Valencia where it would not be an embarrassment away from home to just pick up a point. For most teams a point would be a real achievement but with expectations high from the likes of Messi and Villa the fans demand more from the players. See if they Catalan giants can keep on producing the magic with live streaming Primera Division from oleolefootball.watchlive.net
League leaders Barcelona travel to Valencia this coming Saturday as Spain’s La Liga resumes after the two week international break. See how they get on in this difficult match by tuning into oleolefootball.watchlive.net and enjoying the live stream football from Spain in all its glory.
Just before the international break Barca made full use of bitter rivals Real Madrid’s slip up by winning their game against Almeria and going three points clear at the top of the table. To be fair, they did make hard work of seeing off the Almeria team, and it was a wonder goal from Pedrito in the 31st minute that sealed the win for the Catalan giants.
Barcelona have now won all their games (six) so far this season in La Liga and the signs are rather ominous for the rest of the league, especially as Real Madrid have now lost their first game. Although the tie at Valencia is classed as a difficult one, their task is made somewhat easier thanks to two of Valencia’s main players missing the game through injury; David Villa and Joaquin.
Nevertheless, the Catalan’s will not be complacent and will not underestimate the challenge they face on Saturday. They will show every respect to Valencia and will fight for the three points on offer.
For their part, Valencia come into the game against Barca on the back of a 1-0 win at Racing Santander, but the two injuries made it a rather expensive in terms of personnel three points gained. The win at Santander moved Valencia up to fifth in the league with eleven points, and these have come from three wins, two draws and one defeat. At home they have one win, two draws and no defeats.

With Barcelona’s Wednesday evening result at home to Sevilla obviously as yet unknown at time of writing they go into the weekend’s game at the top of the table currently six points ahead of nearest rivals Real Madrid. This could obviously change before the weekends fixtures as there is a full schedule of mid week La Liga games to take place beforehand.
Although Wednesday’s game for Barcelona could be a tough one against third placed Sevilla, the probable outcome on current form is a home win, which would obviously mean that Barca will be closing in on the title they lost to Real last season.
Before the mid week games, Valencia were sitting in fourth position in the La Liga table, so it has the potential to be a very tricky tie for the Catalan giants, but one which they have to overcome if they want to wrap up the championship as early as possible.
Valencia, of course, are not going to make it easy for Barcelona. With a home record so far this season of ten wins, three draws and three defeats, they are no mugs, and will try their hardest to secure the three points on offer.
Before the mid week game away to Real Betis, which obviously hasn’t taken place at the time of writing, Valencia were on a run of four consecutive wins. This though, came on the back of a run that was six matches long without a victory.
