Last weekend Lyon travelled to Le Mans and won pretty comfortably in the end by 3-1. An opening goal by Boumsong followed up by a brace from Benzema sealed the deal for the visitors, who have now reached 59 points in what is turning out to be a very interesting Ligue 1 contest.

Lyon will have to be careful on Sunday though if they want to leave the game with three points. Their home form is decidedly average for a team that is sitting pretty at the top of the league. In their fifteen home games so far this season, they have managed eight wins, six draws and one defeat. Although just one defeat is an impressive stat on its own, the six draws are what are keeping the contest at the top of the table hot.

Monaco come to town on the back of a 1-0 home defeat to La Havre and so continued to disappoint this season. The result meant that they are now twelfth in the league with 36 points, buy more worryingly for them is the fact that they are only seven points off the relegation places. With only three league wins in fourteen games, it is pretty obvious that they have to string a run of victories together in the remaining games if they are to avoid complications at the end of the season.
