Lyon fans are now in unchartered territory after having been spoilt for the last seven seasons. The draw last week with PSG put them six points behind leaders Marseille (who won 2-1 at Lille), and with only five games left of the season, time is fast running out for them to mount a comeback. The way things stand, Lyon are in a fight with PSG to claim the third and last Champions League qualifying spot for next season. They are fifteenth in the league and five points clear of the relegation zone; another defeat or two, though, will certainly get them worried for their future Ligue 1 status.
