Besiktas know that anything other than a victory will put an end to their journey in this season’s Peace Cup, and although it is only a friendly international football tournament, they will be trying their very hardest to secure the win needed for qualification. Although still in pre-season mode, the more games they manage to play, the more their match fitness levels will rise in anticipation for the new Turkish season which is just round the corner.

Porto remain favourites for qualification through to the knock out stages. Their 2-0 win over Lyon putting them in the driving seat and they know that they have the luxury of only needing one point to secure qualification. This doesn’t mean the coach will be resting on his laurels though, and he realises that a bit of effort is required to ensure the team progress in the tournament.
