Birmingham will welcome Wolves to St Andrews for the Sunday early kick off in the English Premier League. Both Birmingham and Wolverhampton Wanderers are in need of the points with Wolves second from bottom and Birmingham just four points clear of the bottom three; this is a relegation battle that has no clear winner. See the game with live streams from oleolefootball.watchlive.net.
Wolves last win was in mid-March when they beat Aston Villa and they have only picked up one point since in a draw at home to Fulham. Wolves manager Mick McCarthy will have not have to remind his players that they managed to overturn Birmingham back in December thanks to a Stephen Hunt goal from midfield. The Irish international has recovered well from a groin injury but Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is a fresh doubt with a hamstring problem that could put a real dent in Wolves Premier League survival hopes. There are still points to be won for Wolverhampton Wanderers though as they still have to play West Brom, Sunderland and Blackburn but none of those fixtures will be any easier.
Birmingham will have to recover quickly from two bad results in the space of a week after they lost to Chelsea 3-1 and Liverpool put five past them without reply. Alex McLeish doesn’t have the easiest of run-ins to contend with either as the Blues face Newcastle, Fulham and Spurs after the Wolves match. Kevin Philips who came on Craig Gardner for the final ten minutes against Liverpool will most likely return to the starting line-up for Birmingham against Wolves. Sunday evening will see Wolverhampton Wanderers take on Birmingham City at St Andrew’s Stadium. In their last encounter, back in November, Birmingham managed to take the points and they will have the home advantage going into this next meet-up. Wolves are coming from a less than impressive midweek performance and will be hoping to win back some momentum. This should be a lively coming together and one to watch on oleolefootball.watchlive.net where we always have the best in live stream footy.
The Blues played Tottenham at home on Sunday and manage to score a late equaliser to get the point. They fought bravely after falling behind and deserved something for their efforts; they will be hoping to bring the same energy to the game against wolves. Birmingham is currently eight in the EPL.
Wolves are desperate for points so as to avoid falling into the bottom three. They suffered disappointment on Tuesday after losing to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup. Manager Mick McCarthy told the press that Wolves deserved to lose 3-1. He had made five changes to his starting line-up for the match against Palace so maybe he was keeping something in reserve for the weekend. He will be hoping for a much better performance against the Blues.
Birmingham want to move a bit higher in the table and Wolves are desperate to not fall any further. This is one to watch so why not come and join us here on oleolefootball.watchlive.net where you can always enjoy the best in live streaming footy.
