The 29 year old would be a free agent next year but Liverpool are in desperate need of a left sided defender. Nobody at the club though would be keen on parting with someone of Konchesky’s talent.

Blackpool can only dream of having other clubs problems though but to say that the season is a failure after two games is foolish.
