Both teams have similar win records in their recent outings. The two clubs have only won two out of their last eight fixtures. One of those two wins came at bottom placed Wigan Athletic, who currently seem incapable of stringing points together.

But while Villa have managed to secure the odd draw and collect points, it’s been a poor season for Bolton, who have found themselves to be on the losing side once too often. The Trotters are second from bottom on goal difference while Villa are comfortably sitting in eighth place.

Gary Cahill is suspended after seeing red in Bolton’s 3-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, thus adding to the Trotters’ defensive woes. Villa meanwhile lost 1-0 to Man Utd, with Phil Jones scoring his first senior goal.

After a narrow loss to Man Utd, Aston Villa will look to pick themselves up and take three points when they meet Bolton.

Bolton Wanderers will welcome Gerard Houllier's Aston Villa to the Reebok stadium on Saturday 5th March 2011. This Premier League fixture is one that Owen Coyle would love to get a result from and with three wins and a draw in their last four he should be able to produce something for the fans to be proud of again. You can see who gets what they want with live streaming English Premier League from oleolefootball.watchlive.net.

Bolton’s last four games have been against Premier League opposition but only two of them were Premier League fixtures and the other two were in the FA Cup. Although Bolton have only managed five goals in those four games they did actually get three wins which says more about their defensive set up than their attacking ability. That’s not to say that they don’t have good options going forward as Klasnic has been finding the net regularly but since the arrival of Sturridge from Chelsea the team has looked much more complete.

Aston Villa’ own Premier League form has been poor at times but things may be on the up now that Gerard Houllier is finally appearing to get a hold of the midlands club. With a convincing win against Blackburn last week in which Villa found the net four times Stewart Downing and Ashley Young once again made it clear to the Premier League big guns where their scouts should be focussing their attentions in the summer. Unless Villa can start to climb back up the table by beating teams like Bolton then it is going to be hard for them to keep hold of their better players at the end of the season. Aston Villa will be making the journey to the Reebok Stadium this weekend for a league encounter with Bolton. When these two teams last met back in November, Aston Villa produced an impressive 5-1 victory. It is likely that Bolton are still stinging from that result and will be keen to provide some payback. Will they be able to manage it? Come and join us here on oleolefootball.watchlive.net and see what happens; don’t forget that we supply the best live stream football to your computer.

Aston Villa are now seventh in the EPL and still attempting to manoeuvre themselves into the top four. Time is running out though and now every point counts. A loss against Bolton would be a huge setback an option that fans and team will want to avoid at all costs. Manager Martin O’Neil is unlikely to be satisfied with anything less than a win from this game.

Bolton look like they need only one more victory to secure their Premier League status, despite suffering a 1-0 defeat at Portsmouth in their last league game. The Trotters were beaten by a Kanu goal with just 12 minutes remaining. Unfortunately for Gary Megson’s side they have lost four out of their last six games, drawing one and winning only one. The Bolton manager isn’t taking anything for granted though, knowing that if his side slip up they could be drawn back into the relegation battle.

The ex- Bolton manager could welcome back defender Danny Shittu after the defender missed the trip to Fratton Park last time out, but Ricardo Gardner could miss out after the Jamaican international suffered a hamstring injury in the clash with Pompey.

Martin O’Neill admitted this week that Aston Villa will find it difficult to match the big four financially, but the Irish manager will be hoping the Villan’s form improves and they can get as close to fourth place Arsenal as they can. Villa have been in awful form of late and drew their last game 1-1 with West Ham at Villa Park. Emile Heskey scored for the home side, before Diego Tristan found a late equaliser. Villa’s last victory came nine games ago against Blackburn.

Villa will be without defenders Martin Laursen and Wilfried Bouma. England striker Gabriel Agbonlahor is also a doubt with a hamstring injury that kept the player out of the West Ham draw. John Carew and Emile Heskey could again start up front for Martin O’Neill’s side.
