This Saturday will see West Ham travel to Turf Moor to take on Burnley. This is a late afternoon game that will see West Ham trying to put some distance between themselves and the relegation zone. Burnley is already in the bottom three so will be eager to improve their situation. West Ham hasn’t managed a win in five games and only managed a goalless draw at home to Blackburn last Saturday.  There has been a lot of disruption in the West Ham boardroom of late but hopefully things will settle down with the two David Sullivan and David Gold taking control. Manager Zola has been given firm instructions by the overlords to start winning games and had been given a bit of room to manoeuvre in regards to finding new talent.

Burnley has lost their last four games; their most recent defeat was at the hands of Chelsea who beat the Clarets 2-1. David Nugent is apparently on his way back to Turf Moor and manager Brian Laws is doing all he can to have Nugent on the team for the clash against West Ham. Nugent is on loan until the end of the season from Portsmouth. Jack Cork is another loan who will be coming to the Clarets from Chelsea; it is hoped that he will be able to inject a bit of oomph into the midfield.

Both teams will be hoping to salvage something from Saturday’s game at Turf Moor. Neither side can afford to lose any more points so it’s likely to be a high spirited match.
