City narrowly beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 in their last game, thus maintaining their three point lead at the top of the table. David Silva’s beautiful pass allowed Samir Nasri to put City ahead and Joleon Lescott netted from a set piece three minutes later as Roberto Mancini’s side went two goals up.

But the script went horribly wrong for City as Spurs hit back with two goals in quick succession, the first of which came due to the City back four maintaining a high line. However luck favoured the Eastlands outfit as Spurs skipper Ledley King conceded a last gasp penalty that was dispatched with ease by Mario Balotelli.

Everton drew 1-1 with Blackburn Rovers in their last gasp. Tim Cahill scored a controversial opener for the Toffees that was cancelled out by David Goodwillie’s second half effort for Rovers.

Manchester City will look to keep their title charge going by beating Everton when the two sides lock horns at Goodison Park.

The Everton players have lost just once in their last seven games and that was away to Man United so the Toffees are very capable of damaging Man City’s chances. Everton have beaten Man City in their last three meetings and the tension will be evident in this game after their match in December saw two red cards appear one each for Everton and City.

With just four games remaining plus an FA Cup final City have to take points from every game with Liverpool and Tottenham with one eye on their position in the table. Although that would mean a massive drop in form it is still mathematically possible. You can see if Roberto Mancini can take Man City to the next level against Everton with live streams from oleolefootball.watchlive.net.

Since the Merseyside derby home defeat to Liverpool, Everton have gone six Premier League games without defeat, albeit five of them have been draws. Nevertheless, some of these were great draws, including away to both Chelsea and more recently last time out at Arsenal. Add to that two home draws against high flying Tottenham and the Premier League’s in form side Birmingham and you can see the magnitude of the Toffee’s efforts.

Despite a rash of injuries to his side, David Moyes has overseen some great results in the last couple of months. Indeed, in last weekend’s game against Arsenal they were only equalised in the 92nd minute of the game; an agonising loss of two points for the Everton team. Thanks to these results, Everton have moved up to twelfth in the Premier League table and have 23 points to their name.

For their part, Manchester City recorded their fourth straight Premier League win under new boss Roberto Mancini last Monday when they thrashed hapless Blackburn Rovers at Eastland’s by four goals to one. The win on Monday moved City up to fourth in the league table and they have 38 points from twenty games played. Mancini has said his side can win the league this season – bold words, but they have to beat Everton first.

Everton have had a fantastic season, despite having horrendous injuries to star players such as striker Yakubu and playmaker Mikel Arteta. Not only are they looking good for a top six finish for the third time in four seasons, but they also have a FA Cup final to look forward to, after beating Manchester United in the semi finals. It’s amazing considering there was so much uncertainly around the club at the start of the season. Manager David Moyes has to be considered one of the best in the Premier League.

David Moyes has received a boost with young striker James Vaughan returning to the squad. Meanwhile the Everton manager will have a difficult decision to make in defence with Joseph Yobo, Phil Jagielka and Joleon Lescott all vying for a place at the heart of the defence.

Manchester City defeated West Brom 4-2 at Eastlands in their last game, the goals coming from Robinho, Nedum Onoura, Elano and Daniel Sturridge. Chris Brunt hit back with a brace for the Baggies. The victory took City just four points off a potential European place. City’s away form has been poor this season and has saw them claim just one victory away from Eastland’s this season. City’s recent form has saw them win three and lose three out of the last six games. If they are to retain any hope of getting the last European place they simple have to beat the Toffee’s and hope other results go their way.

Winger Shaun Wright-Phillips could return to the City squad after missing the last three games with an ankle problem. Mark Hughes also has good options up front with Daniel Sturridge, Ched Evans Felipe Caicedo and Valeri Bojinov all competing for a place alongside Brazilian Robinho.
