Portsmouth will end the season on the bottom of the pile; they finish with just nineteen points and only seven wins in the league all season. Despite this though they have managed to do extremely well in the FA Cup, and they may even win it. The last time they were up against Everton it ended with Pompey losing 1-0; that was back in December. Exiting the Premiership with a win will be important for Portsmouth so expect a spirited effort.

Everton will end the season eight in the Premiership which is quite a respectable position; fans will be disappointed though because they didn’t manage to get one of the top four spots. Captain Phil Neville has said that his team needs to learn from the mistakes made this season. Their last game was against Stoke and neither side was able to find the back of the net. This final game against Portsmouth is sure to be a good one so make sure you join us here on oleoleofootball.com for all the action; you can always depend on us for great live streaming soccer.

Everton will be hoping to continue on their good form in recent matches, especially their 2-1 victory over West Bromwich last time around as they look to make a serious assault on the top four of the league. Everton will have Albert Riera in the starting line up for this clash after the former Espanyol winger agreed terms with the Blue half of Merseyside. Everton finished fifth in a long and arduous campaign last time around and with Arteta and Tim Cahill supplying the goods for the potentially deadly partnership of Riera and Yakubu up front, things certainly look to be on the move for Everton.

Portsmouth on the other hand will be ruing the transfer of midfielder Sulley Muntari in what now looks a rather light midfield. The Inter Milan midfielder pulled all the strings for Portsmouth in midfield last season and Portsmouth will be hard pressed to compensate for this absence when they come up against Everton. On the positive side though, the signing of Peter Crouch means that they can now rely on a pairing of Defoe of Crouch as they look to build on their FA Cup victory last season.
