Wolves picked up some much needed breathing space with a 3-1 win over Wigan Athletic in their last league game before the international break. The victory ended Mick McCarthy’s side’s run of eight winless games.
Former Spurs medio Jamie O’Hara opened the scoring for Wolves and although Ben Watson drew level for Wigan, David Edwards and Stephen Ward netted late in the game to earn a 3-1 win. The three points pulled Wolves away from the drop zone and they are now thirteenth in the league with eleven points.
Everton lost 2-1 to Newcastle United in their last game. The proud Toffees are a single spot above the relegation zone but will go above Wolves on points if they win on Saturday. Jack Rodwell scored Everton’s only goal of that game from a set piece.
Mick McCarthy’s Wolves will look to build upon last fortnight’s victory against Wigan when they clash against Everton at Goodison Park.

David Moyes will no doubt have motivated his team enough to forget about Everton’s customary first game defeat of the season. With that in mind, Wolves could have their work cut out when they travel to Goodison Park. Everton will be disappointed at not leaving Blackburn with at least a point last weekend so there may be something of a backlash performance in front of the home crowd. Tim Howard will have put his uncharacteristic mistake behind him. He will be concentrating on any perceived threat from the Wolves strike force. With Everton injury worries a thing of the past the team will be hoping to repay the fan’s and manager’s confidence with a performance worthy securing European football this season. Their first home fixture will be a good way to gauge how the season could pan out. Everybody knows that in any good campaign you have to win at home against smaller opposition.
Wolves though have no intention of rolling over and playing possum after a first opening day win in eleven years. David Jones and Steven Fletcher were on form in front of goal and will need to emulate that performance this week. Fletcher the new £7m signing debuted as all strikers want to with a goal on Saturday and will have his eye on beating Howard this week. With Kevin Doyle and Stephen Hunt yet to come there’s plenty more in the Wolves den. See if any keeper gets beat with live footy streams at oleolefootball.watchlive.net.
Everton plays host in their next live Barclays Premier League faceoff against the Wolverhampton Wanderers. Everton who has been comfortably placed in the seventh position will go into this match after a 1-1 draw against Stoke City. The Wolves on the other hand have been placed at the seventeenth position and are going into this match after a 1-0 loss to Portsmouth. It will be exciting to see which team can bounce back with a big win by tuning into the Everton vs. Wolves live game on OleOleFootball.
Everton has had an inconsistent season this time around. Having won only three of their total seven matches, they have not played up to their capacities and capabilities. Saha has been an integral member of the attack line. His agility and craft with which he makes the moves and scores is tremendous. He has been well supported by Fellaini. Apart from these two, only Osman has shown some respite. Most of the players have not been able to play up to the mark. Team Manger David Moyes must look upon his men’s fitness and training more seriously as the league advances to its next level.
The Wolves are having a near bad season and have won only two from their last eight matches. Their team has been outperformed by almost every team in action. They have conceded more than they have scored. Their defence is playing with a number of mistakes and problems and with almost no coordination amongst defenders, leaving gaps for opponents to ponder.
As the teams get on the turf amidst high cheering and enormous support, Everton will surely be the favourites at the Goodison Park. The Wolves who are currently placed ten places below Everton will have to do lot of catching up to get for themselves something from this match. Both teams have had their share of up’s and down’s respectively. It is now up to the one who can work hard and prove their mettle. Do not miss this match as it will definitely be an exciting affair by logging onto OleOleFootball and watching Everton vs. Wolves live.
