Relegation threatened Wigan followed up their shock 1-0 win over Man Utd with another stunning 2-1 win over third placed Arsenal. The victory was their first ever one at the Emirates Stadium and Roberto Martinez credited his players for a fine display against the Gunners.

Fulham suffered their first away defeat of the season as they went down 2-1 to West Bromwich Albion last week. The Cottagers took the lead when Baggies keeper Scott Carson scored an unfortunate own goal in the 9^th minute.

Wigan drew 1-1 with Bolton Wanderers last weekend. Colombian international Hugo Rodallega put Wigan ahead just before the hour mark but Bolton grabbed a deserved equaliser soon after through Johan Elmander. Rodallega also missed a sitter late in the game that would have given his side all three points.
