Premier League Live

Hull City has had a disastrous build up till now. They have been able to win only two from their all eleven matches, scoring just 8 points. Currently placed in the 18th position, their dismal run can be ascertained from the fact that their net goal difference is at -16. Lack in consistency can has been an important issue with them. They have been outdone in almost all the departments of the game. Their attack has been poor and they have defended awfully.

Stoke on the other hand has managed to maintain some respect for themselves. They have been inconsistent at times, but have learnt well from their mistakes. They have won four and drawn four to score 16 points with a current position 9th in the points table. Fuller and Beattie have performed really well for the Stoke team. The great understanding between them has resulted in many chances that have been successfully converted into goals and the passing has been accurate. Moreover there has been a good support put in by the defenders. Delap and Collins have strengthened the mid line considerably well.

Hull find themselves on an awful run of form, with only one victory in 19 Premier League games. This poor run of form has seen the Tigers slip to 17th in the Premier League, just three points clear of relegation zone. They were defeated 1-0 at Aston Villa in their last game, John Carew scoring the only goal of the game. Their performance at Villa Park was decent, but they lacked a cutting edge. Manager Phil Brown will be hoping that his side can rediscover their cutting edge and find a victory that could take them clear of the danger zone.

Hull will be without defender Anthony Gardner and midfielder Jimmy Bullard, with both players sidelined for the rest of the season. They will also still be without Caleb Folan, the striker will serve the second game of his three match suspension.

Stoke could secure their Premier League status with three points in this clash. They find themselves eight points clear of the relegation zone and look likely to be playing in the Premier League again next season. The side from the Potteries suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to West Ham in their last game, Diego Tristan scoring the only goal of the game. Even after that defeat Stoke will be confident of victory over the out of form home side, but they can’t take anything for granted and will have to perform to collect three points.

Stoke are without striker Mamady Sidibe, midfielder Salif Diao. Amdy Faye and Danny Higginbotham are also out for the Potters. Stoke will pair James Beattie and Ricardo Fuller up front, who between them have scored 14 out of the 33 goals that Stoke have scored in the Premier League this season.
