Arsenal are more than capable of exploiting a gap in Liverpool’s defence as Roy Hodgson is still in need of a solid left back, despite centre half Martin Kelly doing well in the role against Rabotnicki. The return of Fabio Aurelio on a free transfer will no doubt provide an option. Mascherano is unlikely to be risked as he is a target for Inter and once again Barcelona after they failed to get Fabregas from Arsenal. Hodgson is more likely to stick with Lucas and Steven Gerrard in the middle with Joe Cole being left to run riot in front. Jovanovic is also likely to start and the no-nonsense player will be expected to run his socks off and relish any fifty-fifty encounters.

Arsenal have their own defensive problems to sort out with five goals conceded in a 6-5 win against Legia Warsaw. Laurent Koscielny the ex Lorient player will have to impress if Arsenal want to be more secure at the back. Arsene Wenger is on the lookout for a top class keeper with neither Almunia nor Fabianski looking on form. There should be plenty of form on display at the other end with Nasri and Chamakh both playing well. Watch live footy streams at oleolefootball.watchlive.net.

Liverpool can get to within one point of Arsenal should they beat them on Sunday at Anfield, but Rafa Benitez men will have to improve considerably over their performance last time out in their 0-0 away draw at Blackburn Rovers. See how they get on by tuning into oleolefootball.watchlive.net and enjoying this exciting English Premier League live streaming offering at its very best.

Last time out Rafa Benitez took his side to face Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park. The game was a non-event and players of both sides appeared as if they didn’t want to be on the pitch. The 0-0 final result thoroughly reflected the play and the closest anybody got to scoring was the crossbar hit by Liverpool’s Ngog in the second half.

The performance was indicative of Liverpool’s season so far and performances like this are sure to rile the Anfield faithful. They fully believe that their team should be challenging for the title, not scrapping for the last remaining Champions League spot on offer. With Chelsea and Manchester United disappearing over the horizon, the league title has long been off the radar for the Reds, and this just doesn’t sit well with the supporters.

But with four unbeaten games in the league in their last four outings, and no goals conceded in the last three, as well as all the injury problems put behind them, are the team about to turn the corner? We’ll find out this Sunday when they take on Arsenal.

An Arsenal team that goes into the game at Anfield on the back of a 2-0 home win over Stoke City. They currently sit in third position in the league and have 28 points to their name.
