Liverpool trailed 1-0 at the interval against Everton in the FA Cup final but their strikers got their scoring boots on in the second half to give them a 2-1 win over their bitter rivals and a maiden FA Cup final against Chelsea.
Striker Andy Carroll, who scored the winner against Everton, also netted for the Reds when they travelled to the Hawthorns in the reverse fixture earlier this season. Liverpool won 2-0 on that occasion, with Charlie Adam also netting from the spot.
If Albion beat the Reds on Sunday, they’ll move within a point of Kenny Dalglish’s side in the league standings, albeit having played one game more. The Baggies beat local rivals West Brom 1-0 in the league last weekend thanks to Graham Dorrans’s superb strike.

Liverpool will welcome West BromwichAlbion to Anfield for their third fixture of the 2010/11 English Premier League campaign. Roy Hodgson’s side will be looking to respond to a 3-0 defeat at the hand of Roberto Mancini’s team at the City of Manchester Stadium. See if Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres can pick the team up to deliver a match winning performance against Roberto Di Matteo’s Baggies. All the Premier League games are on oleolefootball.watchlive.net with their high quality live streaming football.
West Brom won’t want to be on the end of a backlash performance so they are probably going to approach this match cautiously. New signing Nigerian Peter Odemwingie has proved he is a great asset to the squad with a goal in his debut game to earn a victory against Sunderland. The Lokomotiv Moscow striker signed just days before the game and proved an instant success after just one training session he was put in the team. He’s a definite starter against Liverpool and Di Matteo will be looking to exploit Liverpool’s weakness at left back position.
Liverpool though will have had a major dressing down by Hodgson after conceding three goals without return against Man City. The fans too will be demanding a convincing result and Liverpool’s twelfth man may prove too much for the baggies. The exclusion of Joe Cole may have had a negative effect on the development of Roy Hodgson’s side but Liverpool should still have far too much in the locker for the West Brom to cope with. Now that it looks as though Mashcerano may have played his last game for the reds; fans may be looking to people like new signing Poulson to step in and command a place in the team. Their 26 points are the product of 8 wins, 2 draws and that lone loss to Spurs. Fernando Torres of Spain is off to a strong start with 5 goals on the season.
